What is Microblogging??
  
Microblogging is a wide networking service that allows users to send, receive, and publish data over the Internet. These publications include short text, links, images, short videos, and other media. 

Microblogging History:
 Tumblelog is the stepping stone for microblogging and the name is coined by “why the lucky stiff” on April 12, 2005 in a blog post while describing “Christian Neukirchen's Anarchaia”.

The term microblog came into existence and widely used by 2006 and 2007.
