data over the Internet. These publications include short text, links, images, short videos, and other media.

Tumblelog is the stepping stone for microblogging and the name is coined by “why the lucky stiff” on April 12, 2005 in a blog post while describing
“Christian Neukirchen's Anarchaia”.

microblog came into existence and widely used by 2006 and 2007.
