History of Technology Assessment:
Technology Assessment became a big deal with the US
Office of Technology Assessment (OTA). Congressional hearings from 1969
prompted open law #92-484 in 1972 building up OTA, with its first appraisal
created in 1974. OTA's subsidizing was ceased in 1995 by a Republican-drove
